Bossy Mama has a few changes in the works for 2013 and is currently seeking a Managing Director.  We are looking for a highly organized, detail oriented, confident, well-connected entrepreneurial woman to fill this role.  This person would essentially become the lead role within the Bossy Mama business network heading up our board, all of our events and working with the public on promotions and sponsorship.

Bossy Mama was created in 2010 as a small 'club' primarily for women and moms that were also business owners. Since then, our membership has grown to a few hundred members, we have substantial sponsorship partnerships and have organized several well-received and profitable major events.  The owner of Bossy Mama, Carol McBee, also owns another comapny, Mommy Connections.  The two companies are becoming more difficult to manage, which is why a Managing Director search has begun.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Membership - Manage current membership, assist with any website profile questions, support members, promote members through social media and the newsletter, work on membership perks package, increase membership.

Events - Plan 4-6 small workshops/seminars/networking events per year.  Continue to grow 2-3 large cornerstone events (including the 2nd Annual Imedia Social Media Conference in Spring 2013, the 4th Annual Bossy Mama Flaunt in the Fall of 2013 and a Women's Conference)

Sponsorship - Continue to support sponsorship relationships we already have in place for the network as a whole as well as for specific events and seek out new sponsorship partners.

Network - Continue to manage partnerships with other networks and business groups to cross promote each other.

Press - Work with the local press to ensure we are being promoted to the Edmonton & Area business community.

The president will continue to promote the network through events, awards programs and social media.  There is a new confidential strategic plan in place for 2013, which the Managing Director will spearhead.  The Managing Director will be paid directly through profits from all major events, sponsorships and membership dues.  A fee will be paid back to the corporation on a monthly or quarterly schedule.  This business partnership will be managed through an 18-24 month License Agreement. This position would start on October 15, following the Bossy Mama Flaunt tradeshow.
