Do many of you have aspiring dreams to become your own boss one day? Are you passionate about something and know it is what you want to do for the rest of your life? I do, I am and I will.

That is what I tell myself everyday, “I do, I am and I will.” And it is what has gotten me to the point that I am at in my life. Not too long ago, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do with my life, for the rest of my life. I just knew that I had many passions, big dreams and the power to go in whichever direction I chose. Unfortunately I also had a tonne of negativity to go along with, unsupportive friends and family and the drama that would follow if I followed any of my “big dreams”.

So what do you do when nobody wants to back you? You back yourself, that’s what. The only person in this world that can help you, is you and when you have no one else to turn to you just have to look in the mirror and provide a little (or a lot of) self coaxing.  “Enters the phrase, ‘I do, I am and I will.’”

My aspirations…four years ago it was to be an event planner, today it is be an event planner and run my own business and That’s what I do! I never would have imagined it would come true either. For the last 3 years I have worked a variety of jobs and followed a couple of different visions I had for myslef. Hospitality, customer service, assistant and some other odd jobs in between, all which led me to the place I sit today. I am a proud free lance event planner who just started up my own business and I continue to grow each day.

There is one other reason, though, that I have obtained so much so fast, my daughter. If it were not for being blessed with a child when I was, my dreams would probably sill be on hold. You see when my daughter was about 8 months old, my fiancé and I decided it was time for me to be a stay at home mom and thus I quit my job of 2 years and instantly began devising plans for my future event planning business. Just a short time later, things are progressing smoothly and I have been granted so many amazing opportunities! Everyday I am extremely grateful for all that I have and all that I hope to have. So my advice to you, dear aspirers, follow your dreams, never say no and believe that you can.
