What is WECAN?

WECAN is a business network for entrepreneurial women. The organization gives a strong voice to the female business community and strives to encourage more entrepreneurial women to follow their dreams of owning their own business. Through monthly networking evenings, as well as large semi-annual events, WECAN is passionate about connecting, empowering and inspiring women in business.

Why join?

If you are a woman (mom or not!) who owns her own business or is planning on starting her own business, this is the premier network to join. It is the only female entrepreneur networking group of its kind in Edmonton and provides the platform that is specific to women in business. Our events are educational and the networking is one of a kind. Join to meet like-minded women with a passion for business who understand what it's like to balance it all as a female entrepreneur.

Members of WECAN can also take advantage of our exclusive perks package. One of the more notable perks is a 50% discount off exhibitor fees at the Bossy Mama Flaunt, which is an annual tradeshow that celebrates women in business. The only exhibitors that will be accepted to partake in the Flaunt are those owned by women.

Who is Carol McBee?

Carol is the owner of two businesses dedicated to connecting moms. After graduating with her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Texas at Arlington, Carol returned to her hometown of Edmonton with her husband and started her first business; Canadian Houses, which is a virtual tour and photography business working in the real estate sector. After running that business with her husband and working full time for the makers of COLD-fX as their Corporate Programs Manager, the McBee’s decided to start a family and began with their daughter Madelyn.
