Our network has grown up and evolved a bit over the last three years. WECAN is the new face of Bossy Mama. The same great network; just a little less bossy! The new name reflects the changes the network has undergone in the last 3 years and better represents the members of the network. Bossy Mama was certainly created on the idea that there needed to be an Edmonton business network that catered to the mompreneur niche. After a few years and several events, we have discovered that there are a lot of fantastic entrepreneurial women that have being undermined and misrepresented because of the often derogatory 'mompreneur' term. WECAN will ensure that all members of the network and the Capital Region's entrepreneurial community are professionally represented. About 30% of our networks current members do not have young families. They are single, newly graduated, past the stage of raising children or simply without children. Diversity is critical to the network, as is proper representation. WECAN will continue to offer the same great networking benefits as well as education and support through our workshops, seminars, conferences and tradeshows. Together, WECAN do anything!
